If you are in career transition, I understand because I’ve been there myself! I walk with individuals that are making that change through a journey of education, awareness and discovery that helps them reach a point of clarity about their future.  And the best part is that my assistance is free of charge to my client!

After receiving my Masters’ Degree in Health Administration, I spent 34 years in the healthcare arena.  Embracing the concept of quality early on, I understand servant leadership, the importance of the customer and how empathy and compassion play a vital role in helping individuals.  As I ended my healthcare career, I truly desired the opportunity to continue to help people.  As a man of faith and having spent 20 years in a faith-based health system, I strive to always do my best for my client with the utmost in integrity and honesty.

Today, I get to help people achieve self-sufficiency.  What a great business to be in….I help people to transform their dreams into reality!

Work history.

My work history spans nearly 35 years in Health Administration.  The first 10 years of my career, I was an Assistant Administrator with one hospital in my home state of Virginia and then the second one in Texas.  I then moved to Executive Vice President at a hospital in Tennessee for 6 years before finally becoming President and CEO of a 270 bed hospital in Kentucky.  I was responsible for 1150 employees and an annual budget of $180 million.  The Kentucky hospital was certainly the highlight of my career as we won quality recognition from the state. fell just five points short of getting a Malcolm-Baldridge survey and became one of the first 25 hospitals in the United States to be ISO-9000 certified.  It was a joy to watch so many employees taking ownership of their hospital!   Empowering people to make change is extremely satisfying.

Coaching highlights.

My tenure as a Career Ownership Coach has been 3 1/2 years to date.  It’s fun, exciting and rewarding when you help people to reach clarity regarding their future.  One of my fondest memories comes from a gentleman in Florida who never made it to self sufficiency.  When he ended his journey, he wrote me a wonderful letter and explained that I had helped him and his wife to have a conversation that had been needed for years!  That’s the “end game”, helping people to reach a point of clarity about their future.

“I started with just me and one truck, working out of my garage. I now have four employees, and I am in a commercial space. The earnings potential is pretty well limitless at this point. I am busy. I do have to spend time away from my family just as I did before. But now, if I want to stay home and cook my kids breakfast, I can. On nice sunny days, if I want to cut out early to take the kids swimming, I do. I don’t just have weekends to choose from anymore.”
